We all know that heavy rain may cause the occurance of flood.
These days, Bandung experiences rainy day every now and then. No wonder, the
heavy rain caused 180cm or 1,8 metres flood in 15 regions in Bandung district. Cicalengka, Rancaekek, Cileunyi, Solokan Jeruk, Majalaya, Ciparay,
Baleendah, Dayeuhkolot, Bojongsoang, Pameungpeuk, Banjaran, Arjasri, Cangkuang,
Katapang and Kutawaringin are the regions which are flooded. The flood that started on Saturday, 29th of October made
all the citizens anxious. Around 691 people were evacuated.
The people who are evacuated are being treated by the rescue
team (SAR). Food was given and the people were oftenly checked by the team.
The downpour also got some cars to be drifted by the heavy flow
and causing them to break. It is told that the gutters which are fulled with
rubbishes made the flood bigger. Fortunately, most of the victims were saved
and 2 people died.
