KPI

KPI (Kebaktian Penyegaran Iman) is a kind of devotions which is carried out by my school. It is a must for the students to attend the devotions. It was made for the students to refresh their soul. The last KPI was on the 16th of February. The preacher was mrs Widya. She told us many things. Precisely she told about 1 John 2:1-11. It tells us about sins. Let us always stand beside Jesus and Jesus will always forgives our sins. And also if we have so many problems. And we couldn't solve it, pray to Him and He always gives the best solutions. In the devotions, many of the students cried to Jesus and their heart were touched with Jesus's hand. One of them was me, i cried to Jesus and my heart was touched by His power. I felt a freedom. A freedom from the sins. The devotions was about 2 hours. All the students were blessed. KPI was great!

GIFT

It was 2 years ago.“ Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday happy birthday, happy birthday to you!” . It was 12pm. I woke up and i saw my family was singing birthday song for me. “Happy birthday dear, we hope in your new age you become a better person who can makes God always happy and proud of you, and hopefully  you can be a respectful daughter” said my Father with a birthday cake on his hands.  I made a wish and blew the candle on top of the cake. My Mother gave me a box which was wrapped with pink wrapping paper which is my favourite colour. I opened it and saw an iphone that i’ve dreamed for a long time. My eyes opened wide and i shouted “ You are the best, Mom!” . Time passed and untill one day , i woke up late for school and I prepared myself hurriedly and went to school. I forgot to put my phone in my drawer to locked it. At that time, i thought that it would be alright and nothing bad was going to happened. But when i got home, i didn’t see my phone. I was very panic. I asked my maid and she said there were just workmen got out of my room around 30 minutes before i reached home.  I said what just happened to my Mother haltingly. She got mad. I felt like i was dissapointing my Mother. Fortunately, my cousin helped me with blocking my phone so no one could used my phone. She blocked my phone and wrote a short message “This iphone has lost, please called ****** ( my Father’s phone number) if you have found it, thankyou.” Three months later, someone called my Father and yes it was my phone founder. My phone was back and i thanked to God for helping me found the phone.

CHINESE NEW YEAR

First of all, i want to say, HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR to all of you that celebrate it.

This blog post is telling you about my chinese new year celebration and i also i added a bit of informations about chinese culture.

This year, chinese new year is on 8th of February. This means, the chinese new year eve is on 7th of February. I hope you have a great time with your family while celebrating this year of monkey. May you all be joy.

This year, my family decided to celebrate Chinese New Year (cny) eve at our home because my grandfather doesn't feel fit and he suffers cerebrovascular accident . He can't walk actively like we do. He can just laying on his bed and watching TV. So, my big family (my uncle,my auntie, my cousins, etc) celebrated cny eve at my house. My Mom ordered so much food. Especially chinese food which mostly all my family love it. The food was very delicious. Especially, the pork. It was very tasty. I almost ate 2 plates of sweet porks LMAO.

FYI, usually during chinese new year, chinese people ate chinese new year's cake or "kue keranjang" in indonesian. We, as chinese people also eat  chinese oranges and some chocolates that are formed like coins.

These are some oranges that we usually eat during chinese new year.

                                                  "KUE KERANJANG" (NIAN GAO)

                                                           These are the chocolates.

On 8th of February (yesterday) is the chinese new year. In the morning, i woke up at 8 o'clock and got ready for my (big) family photoshoot by wearing red clothes. Before i took a shower, i said happy chinese new year to my parents by saying "Gong Xi Fat Chai." My parents gave me "angpao" which made me very happy.

These red things are called angpao(s).

We arrived at studio at 10 am and started our photoshoot. In studio, i met my relatives and greeted them by saying "Gong Xi Fat Chai." They ( who had got married) gave me the same red kind of envelope which called "angpao." We finished our photoshoot at half past 11 and we gathered together at my house at around 12 am. My Mother served other delicious food which made our tummy very full. After chillin around and gossiping (woops) , they left my house. My family went to my grandparents house (my dad's parents) and also greeted them with the same sentence (Gong Xi Fat Chai). They gave me angpao(s) again and we gathered to celebrate chinese new year until 6pm and our grandma and grandpa served us food again. I thought i was getting fatter because of cny's delicious food. We went back to our beloved home at about 8pm. What a tiring day! But a happy day too, because i got a lot of money!!!.
