Flood In Bandung

We all know that heavy rain may cause the occurance of flood. These days, Bandung experiences rainy day every now and then. No wonder, the heavy rain caused 180cm or 1,8 metres flood in 15 regions in Bandung district. Cicalengka, Rancaekek, Cileunyi, Solokan Jeruk, Majalaya, Ciparay, Baleendah, Dayeuhkolot, Bojongsoang, Pameungpeuk, Banjaran, Arjasri, Cangkuang, Katapang and Kutawaringin are the regions which are flooded. The flood that started on Saturday, 29^th of October made all the citizens anxious. Around 691 people were evacuated.

The people who are evacuated are being treated by the rescue team (SAR). Food was given and the people were oftenly checked by the team.

The downpour also got some cars to be drifted by the heavy flow and causing them to break. It is told that the gutters which are fulled with rubbishes made the flood bigger. Fortunately, most of the victims were saved and 2 people died.

Thailand Trip

Hi guys!

Its been a while since i posted in my blog.

Now I'm back due to my teacher's order.

I'd like to tell my exciting journey during my trip to Thailand.

My last holiday started from June to July. It took about 1 month. Even though it seems a long holiday, i feel the opposite. I really enjoyed my holiday this time. I spent my joyful moments this holiday with my family by taking vacation to Thailand . 

That was my first time going to Thailand. Thailand is such a great country! My family addicted to their street food. Thai's street food tasted similar to the one in Indonesia. One of my favourite dishes in Thailand is pad thai. Pad thai is like noodle-shaped food. It looks similar with kwetiau (Indonesian food). 

We went to 3 cities in Thailand. They were Phuket, Bangkok, and Pattaya. Phuket is located near the sea, so i found many beaches there. The sea in Phuket is very pretty and clean. It is surrounded by numbers of island. One of them is Phi Phi Island which we visited.

Bangkok is the capital city of Thailand. There are a lot of huge malls. The famous one is called as Platinum.

Pattaya is the city where most of incredible shows are held. One of them is known as Alcazar. It was the show of ladyboys. In that show, they were dancing. One thing that makes me amazed was their appearance. They seem like the real female. Most of them have pretty faces and thin bodies like the Victoria's Secret models LOL. They comforted all the spectator a lot. In the end of the show, usually all the ladyboys go out and offer people to take photos with them. We must pay for taking photo with them.

Another unique show that we watched in Pattaya is The Elephant Show. From only the name, you can tell that the show is about elephants. The elephants are very talented. They are trained to be able to dance, paint, playing basketball, etc. It was such a great show!

SPEECH

WHAT IS SPEECH ?

SPEECH IS the expression of or the ability to express thoughts and feelings by articulate sounds.

This is the example of the inspirational speech delivered by the famous president of US , Barack Obama. 

The message from the speech is that all of us represent enormous possibility for change. We all have the ability to change the world into the better one.

Niall Horan

In this post, i am going to tell you some facts about Niall Horan.

Niall is one of my idols. Beside he is handsome, he is also very talented.

He has a good voice and he can play guitar. He was born in September 13th 1993 (Ireland). He used to be in a group called One Direction. Now , that group is on a break. He was well-known because he joined a talent show called x-factor and that how his group was created. 

Scout Camp

Last Monday, i went to Pine Forest for a camp (scout camp). We arrived at school at around 5.30 am to gather with the teachers. We started our journey by riding truck it can be said as an army truck. We arrived after around 2 hours and my class' truck arrived the latest from all trucks because of traffic jam. We joined the opening ceremony and we were allowed to move our belongings to the tents. In the afternoon, there were games. We played even though it was raining. Before we slept, we all were scolded by the teachers for various mistakes. We were punished by the teachers. We were made by the teachers to squat and stand.

The next day, we cooked our breakfast by ourselves. My group made a delicious pork rice. After filling our tummies, we prepared ourselves to go back home.

Although this camp is very tiring, i got a lot important lessons.

Descendants Of The Sun

First of all, i'm not a big fan of korean drama. But, since this drama has been a popular topics of all people these days, i decided to watch it. I think the story is interesting because it is very uncommon that a man who is a soldier can fall in love with a doctor. It doesn't make any sense right?

Lots of my friends also  watch this drama. Not only the plot of the story which make it interesting, the director also chooses attractive actors and actress. Especially the most handsome one called JoongKi. He is the main character of this drama. I like the way he acts in the drama. He has a good sense of humour too. It makes the drama more fun.

The drama can make us laugh,cry, even fall in love with the characters. The couple in this drama is also very romantic. Many people wasted their time only to sit and watch this drama.

This is Joong Ki, his name in the story is Yoo Si Jin, he acts as a soldier.

This is Song Hye Kyo who acts as a doctor. Her name in the story is Kang Mo Yeon.

Easter

On the 25th of March, i went to Jakarta with my Mom and my two sisters. My Father was not feeling well, so he didn't join us. We went to a mall called Grand Indonesia which is known well at Jakarta. The mall is very huge. It carries tons of shops. We went to that mall for shopping. Before going to Jakarta, we celebrated easter at our church. We arrived at Jakarta at about 11 o'clock. We got many new clothes and other things. We didn't feel tired at all because all we did was shopping which every girls like it. After wasting our time for shopping, we had dinner at a restaurant to fill our starving tummies. We arrived back at Bandung at around 11 pm. 

Afterschool

Hearing the noise of the deafening bell in my ears , noisy students in the back of the class go out impatiently from the class. The air outside the class refreshes my mind from the stress. I meet my friends from other classes nd have a little conversation. As my foot moving toward the carpark, i see my driver waiting for me to go backk home. I move my feet inside the car. Listening to the music  from my favourite radio while  i am refreshing myself. Arriving home, stepping inside, i meet my mom that has waited for me. We fill our starving tummy with some delicious food then, take a bath, remembering that tons of tasks are waiting for me, i facing it until the moon shows, i lie on my bed, close my eyes, hug my pillow tightly, ending my tiring day with a sleep. itself. Almost forgetting the test that i’ll have tomorrow, i fill my brain by memorizing all the materials for the test until i hear my Mom calls me and asks me to take a rest. Finally, after finishing all of my works, i close my eyes, hug my pillows tightly, ending my tiring day with a sleep.

The Three Climbers

Three climbers decided to climb Mount Everest as it is the only major mountain in the world they hadn't climbed. They began their treck up the mountain but didn't tell anyone they were going as they know it was dangerous. One climber fell but was saved from plummeting to his death by a ledge-he had broken his leg. The three climbers speeded an uncomfortable night on the mountain. The temperature dropped and the injured man became ill. The two climbers tried to save the injured man . They went back down the mountain to found help. They were leaving the injured man behind. They were looking for help down the mountain and found a group of people. They immediately told what had happened. A group of people helped the injured man the three climbers were rescued and they went back to their home.

My School

             SMPK1

 SMPK1 is known as the best christian school in Bandung. It is located at Hos Thokroaminoto street, number 157, Bandung. This school is located in a perfect location. There are a lot of food sellers in front of the school. They sell various kinds of street foods such as cimol,cireng,batagor,etc. The foods are quite delicious. Although it is not healthy enough for us to eat, many students like it and often buy it. And about the price, it isn’t expensive enough.

Beside the school, there is a well-known cafe which is called “Dunkin Donut.” I’m sure that you know that place. It is quite famous too in Bandung. Other than that, SMPK1 is also located near a mall called Istana Plaza. So if you feel hungry or want to hanging out with your friend afterschool, you can choose a place where you want to hanging in either in Istana Plaza or Dunkin Donut. Also there is a big restaurant called Herb and Spice. You can eat there too. There is also a big shop that sells cake, bread, and some drinks too. It is called Prima Rasa. That shop is located near SMPK1 too.

Beside a perfect location, SMPK 1 has also many facilities. Even though it is not as complete as other school, the school can still make the students feel comfortable inside the building. About the size. The school is not big. It is not small too. So, kind of medium size. Like i said before, you don’t have to worry about the school’s size, or either its facilities. Why? Because even with a limited size and facilities, the school can still make its students feel comfortable.

Some of its facilities are computer lab, science lab,dance room, music room, basketball court(indoor), etc. For the science lab the school also provides all the equipments such as the bunsen burner,beaker, funnel,etc. The school consists of 3 different programmes. They are regular program, bilingual program, and DCP program. Regular program is kind of school’s basic program which is using total indonesian. Even though in that program the students are taught english language, most of the subjects are using indonesian. Usually, there are 4-5 classes which is filled with around 40 students for each class. Other than Bilingual Program, i can say that it uses half indonesian and half english. Half of the subjects are using Indonesian and half of them are using English. It has usually 3-4 classes with 30 students in each class. While, DCP program uses full English except for Bahasa Indonesia subject. It has only 1-2 class(es) with maximum 25 students. So, if we calculate the classes in every level, it can untill 10 classes.

In this school, the lesson started at half past 6 am. The student who is late will be given a punishment. There are 2 times of breaktime in this school. The first one is at 09.10am  and the second one is at 12.10 am. Mostly on breaktime, the students go outside from their classes and gather together to eat together. Some students go out from their classes to buy some food in the canteen. The food that is sold at the canteen is cheap. It is only around Rp10.000,00 for chicken and rice.

About the school’s rules, the school has a lot of strict rules. It is made to make its students obey. One of the rule is evey girl must tie their hair, their ears must be shown. The other rule is all of the students must bring their own id card to tap it first in the lobby or near the stairs before they go to their classes. The students who are not tap their id card will be considered as absent student. Other rule is there is no student allowed to bring aby electronic devices such as laptop or  mobile devices (mobile phones). All the rules that are made in this school make the students to become a dicipline person.

Not only good in knowledge, its students have good characters too. They are taught how to be a good person and also polite person. The teachers are experienced a lot and they can be a good model for all the students.

About its activities, the school carries out various activities such as PORAK ( sports match), PERAK, and also MAKSI (art performance). The school provides various activities club too such as modern dance, band, robotic,etc.
