My School

             SMPK1

 SMPK1 is known as the best christian school in Bandung. It is located at Hos Thokroaminoto street, number 157, Bandung. This school is located in a perfect location. There are a lot of food sellers in front of the school. They sell various kinds of street foods such as cimol,cireng,batagor,etc. The foods are quite delicious. Although it is not healthy enough for us to eat, many students like it and often buy it. And about the price, it isn’t expensive enough.

Beside the school, there is a well-known cafe which is called “Dunkin Donut.” I’m sure that you know that place. It is quite famous too in Bandung. Other than that, SMPK1 is also located near a mall called Istana Plaza. So if you feel hungry or want to hanging out with your friend afterschool, you can choose a place where you want to hanging in either in Istana Plaza or Dunkin Donut. Also there is a big restaurant called Herb and Spice. You can eat there too. There is also a big shop that sells cake, bread, and some drinks too. It is called Prima Rasa. That shop is located near SMPK1 too.

Beside a perfect location, SMPK 1 has also many facilities. Even though it is not as complete as other school, the school can still make the students feel comfortable inside the building. About the size. The school is not big. It is not small too. So, kind of medium size. Like i said before, you don’t have to worry about the school’s size, or either its facilities. Why? Because even with a limited size and facilities, the school can still make its students feel comfortable.

Some of its facilities are computer lab, science lab,dance room, music room, basketball court(indoor), etc. For the science lab the school also provides all the equipments such as the bunsen burner,beaker, funnel,etc. The school consists of 3 different programmes. They are regular program, bilingual program, and DCP program. Regular program is kind of school’s basic program which is using total indonesian. Even though in that program the students are taught english language, most of the subjects are using indonesian. Usually, there are 4-5 classes which is filled with around 40 students for each class. Other than Bilingual Program, i can say that it uses half indonesian and half english. Half of the subjects are using Indonesian and half of them are using English. It has usually 3-4 classes with 30 students in each class. While, DCP program uses full English except for Bahasa Indonesia subject. It has only 1-2 class(es) with maximum 25 students. So, if we calculate the classes in every level, it can untill 10 classes.

In this school, the lesson started at half past 6 am. The student who is late will be given a punishment. There are 2 times of breaktime in this school. The first one is at 09.10am  and the second one is at 12.10 am. Mostly on breaktime, the students go outside from their classes and gather together to eat together. Some students go out from their classes to buy some food in the canteen. The food that is sold at the canteen is cheap. It is only around Rp10.000,00 for chicken and rice.

About the school’s rules, the school has a lot of strict rules. It is made to make its students obey. One of the rule is evey girl must tie their hair, their ears must be shown. The other rule is all of the students must bring their own id card to tap it first in the lobby or near the stairs before they go to their classes. The students who are not tap their id card will be considered as absent student. Other rule is there is no student allowed to bring aby electronic devices such as laptop or  mobile devices (mobile phones). All the rules that are made in this school make the students to become a dicipline person.

Not only good in knowledge, its students have good characters too. They are taught how to be a good person and also polite person. The teachers are experienced a lot and they can be a good model for all the students.

About its activities, the school carries out various activities such as PORAK ( sports match), PERAK, and also MAKSI (art performance). The school provides various activities club too such as modern dance, band, robotic,etc.

Cinderella Short Story

                                                      CINDERELLA

Once upon a time, there lived a humble and pretty girl. Her name  is Cinderella. People called her Ella. She lived near the woods. She was an orphan. Her mother had died of heart attack, and her Father died in the war.Ella lived with her stepmother and  two step sisters. Her stepmother and stepsisters were very cruel. They treated Ella like a maid. “ Ella,washed my clothes!Hurry!” said Ella’s stepmother. “ Ella, tidy up our room and cook some food for us!Hurry!” said Ella’s stepsisters. At first, Ella was still patient. But after  a while, Ella felt upset and sad. One day, a messenger arrived with a special invitation. There was going to be a royal ball at the palace. The king wanted his son to find a bride.Every young woman in the kingdom was invited including Cinderella! Ellal was very excited about the ball . In the attic, she found a dress that had belonged to her Mother.It was a bit old fashioned , but Ella could make it beautiful! Ella’s stepmother didn’t want Cinderella to go to the ball. She wanted the prince to meet Ella’s stepsisters. “Maybe he could marry one of you!” said Ella’s stepmother to Ella’s stepsisters. Ella’s stepmother kept Cinderella with chores that would take ella all night to finish. While Cinderella was working, the mice and birds fixed Ella’s dress. They added ribbons and beads that the two stepsisters had thrown away . Working together, the animals turned a simple dress into a fabulous gown. “Wow!What a beautifull dress!” said Ella. Now, Ella could go to the ball. When, the stepsisters and stepmother saw their old ribbons and beads on Ella’s dress, they flew into a rage. Ella ran away to the garden and cry. Suddenly, her fairy godmother appeared and turned Ella’s dress into a wonderfull dress and she sended Ella into the ball to met the prince. Ella and the prince began to dance and they were starting falling in love at each other. Finally, the ptince took Ella to be his wife and they lived happily ever after.

Trip to Singapore

On the 20th of February, my class had a trip to Singapore. We had so much fun! We flew to Changi from Husein at around 10am. The flight was extremely different than other usual flight that i usually have because i flew together with my classmates which was really fun! We arrived at Changi at 12am and moved to Hostel at Yio Chu Kang. After having a rest for a while, we visited Science Centre by using MRT.

Day 2 is one of my favourite day at Singapore. We played at USS (Universal Studio Singapore). We played from 12am untill 6pm. There are various rides. The most exciting ride is cylon. It is a kind of roller coaster which is super fast and high. We were very merry that we had given a chance to play together in USS, but we were very exhausted!

The rest 4 days, we had to study in school ( Anderson Secondary School). The school is very big. The students are very friendly too. I met many new friends there.

My favourite subject in that school is cooking. Me and my partner made some pizza(s). The pizza(s) that were made by us were rose pizza(s). Rose pizza is a kind of pizza that shaped like a rose. I know the name of the pizza (rose pizza) from my teacher at Anderson. We put a lot of cheese on the pizza because we both (me and my partner) like cheese. At the end of  the subject, we created very delicious pizza(s). We got 9 for our job and i think it was quite a good mark.

Seriously the taste was very delicious. Especially the melted cheese!


We visited Marina Barrage. I forget the day when we visited this place. It was a great place! I took some photos while visiting Marina Barrage.

Other nice place that we visited in Singapore is Gardens By the Bay. It is such a pretty garden. The prettiest view in Gardens By the Bay is the performance of light. We all enjoyed watching the movement of light.

We came back to Indonesia on 26th of February. Our trip was over, i got a lot of lessons while having a trip there. I won't ever forget this incredible trip!
